What are Home Insulation Grants
As part of its “Carbon Emissions Reduction Target 2008-2011” (CERT), the Government has instructed fuel suppliers to offer Home Insulation grants to reduce energy use in the home.
Within that time, 3 million homes will have cavity wall Insulation and loft insulation subsidised by these Home Insulation Grants.
Everyone who owns their own home or rents it from a private landlord is eligible for a substantial Home Insulation grant towards the cost of insulating their home.
It is not necessary to change fuel suppliers in order to qualify; the insulation grants are not means tested and they do not have to be repaid. Government figures show that up to half of your heat escapes through un-insulated walls and lofts.
Castle Point Insulation promotes the wide range of Home Energy Efficiency and Home Insulation grants currently available in the UK. These grants are intended to help eradicate fuel poverty, cut carbon emission and reduce fuel bills.
We work along side national Energy Providers (under the CERT scheme), Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Contractors. Our aim is to identify and inform those households that are eligible for a home insulation grant to subsidise the cost of home insulation.
